Fashion shoot with Jessica / Lighting Seminar

In this lighting seminar / fashion shoot We showed how we use our “lighting technique” using Kinoflow continuous lights (Diva 400’s) and a Libertypak “Little Jenny” for power, to light our beautiful model Jessica indoors and out in the urban fields of Los Angeles.

Great control and results! We really love this simple yet incredibly powerful set up!

(Thank you to Jude Beylerian for the fashion/styling and to Susan Mitnick Macht for her art and interior design elements.)

New eye candy for the fashion conscience!

Once again, Gregory Beylerian and Jose Zakany of Clickbox had the opportunity to photograph the beautifully unique style and creations of JBB Couture (Judith Bodart Beylerian). The model was Ty who did a great job projecting the kind of attitude needed.. A fusion of what I would call, punk meets 80’s glam with a twist of Parisian night life swirled into a calm cool.

Clickbox Studio Continuous Light Seminar, A BIG Hit!!

Wow, what a night, what a group of people, what a collection of minds and ideas, passion and enthusiasm! Gregory Beylerian and Jose Zakany of Clickbox Studio shared their latest ideas and newest techniques inspired by a new revolution of still photography and continuous light. Everyone seemed so excited to get a taste of this work flow, so condusive to the joy of shooting and getting results.

A big Thank You to Tom & Frieder from Kino Flo for supplying their top quality Diva 400 lights and hosting this years seminar. We have not found better light quality in this type of continuous fluorescent technology!

A big thanks to Stu and the guys from Liberty Pak and their Little Genny! What can we say.... Battery technology that runs circles around anything else we have tried. We ran two Diva 400’s from one battery for the whole shoot!

A big thanks to Samy’s Camera for organizing and promoting the seminar. Always good to see the L.A. Photo community coming together to share new ideas.

A special thanks to Canon for coming to the seminar and being part of all the action! And of course for building the Canon 5D Mark 2..

A big thanks to our model Roma Perrier who as usual did a stellar job inspiring all the photographers into a shooting frenzy with her beauty and poise!

A big thanks to Newcomb Barger (Nukie) for always being there, ready to assist!

Also, thanks to Tim Moore for shooting the behind the scenes photographs and getting the moments...

Here are some examples of the photographs we made from the seminar:

Continuous Lighting for HDSLR Photography

Lecture and Demo by Gregory Beylerian and Jose Zakany of Clickbox Studio
In association with Kino-Flo Lighting Systems

March 17
th from 6:00pm-9:00pm
At the Kino-Flo Headquarters location
2840 North Hollywood Way, Burbank California USA 91505

HDSLR Cameras have opened up many new opportunities for creating both still and moving imagery – even simultaneously. With these new opportunities comes a whole new way of how to approach a shoot, especially when it comes to lighting. For photographers who are utilizing the full capacity of their HDSLR cameras, strobe and flash lighting just simply fail, but continuous lighting sources are the perfect solution.

Greg and Jose will show the versatility of continuous lighting for both still and motion, studio and location shoots. They will start the evening speaking on how they have successfully adopted continuous lighting into their shoots. They will then move into discussing other variables of continuous lighting such as: workflow, portability for location shooting, combining with ambient light, ISO concerns, syncing with strobes, power consumption, flexibility with color temperatures, creative control, and much more.
After discussing these points they will move outside to show the workflow in action! Greg and Jose will demonstrate different set-ups during a mock location shoot with a model and give you the opportunity to ask questions and learn about the different scenarios proving that continuous lighting sets a new standard.

Workshop fee $20.00
